Smile......

More contemplation...........

What a smile can do?

There are so many different smiles ...all of which can speak a thousand words.

A slow smile that gradually lights up the whole face, effervesces through the eyes and overflows to the receiver....

The connecting smile that simply passes a host of emotions to another person from joy to comfort and so much in between.

The shy smile...........  The wry smile .............

A short clip of smiles

Wikipedia says

" A smile is a facial expression formed by flexing the muscles near both ends of the mouth and by flexing muscles throughout the mouth. Some smiles include contraction of the muscles at the corner of the eyes. Among humans, it is an expression denoting pleasure, sociability, happiness, or amusement.

Smiling is something that is understood by everyone, regardless of culture, race, or religion; it is internationally known. Cross-cultural studies have shown that smiling is a means of communication throughout the world. But there are large differences between different cultures. A smile can also be spontaneous."

A universal communicator - A Connector -  Understood by all

A smile and what it represents has been spoken and sung about on numerous occasions; sung famously by Charlie Chaplin...

Smile though your heart is aching, Smile even though it's breaking. When there are clouds in the sky, you'll get by................................................If you just smile.

   If you just smile............

It is true to say that when we smile - we feel that our mood has been uplifted and this is an almost immediate effect.

When we feel good - everything in life seems to work so much more smoothly too!

This "feel good factor" can be passed to others........

A simple smile can make others feel good - its infectious!

It can comfort,  give joy, release tensions and raise our moods. Its an instant connector, understood by all - so as a society why do we do this less and less?

If you see someone today without a smile...why not give them one of yours and start a cascade of smiles....simply from your one smile :-)

  1. Smiling is infectious
You can catch it like the flu
    When someone started smiling today
    I started smiling too

    I passed around the corner
    And someone saw my grin
    When he smiled, I realised
I had passed it on to him

    I thought about that smile
    Then I realised its worth
A single smile, just like mine
    Coud travel around the earth

So, if you feel a smile begin
    Don't leave it undetected

    Lets start an epidemic quick
    And get the world infected
