Practise....Practise...Practise

PRACTISE.... PRACTISE....PRACTISE.....

How much work do we need to do on ourselves?  

When does the daily ground work finish?..... 

Does it ever finish?  I don't think it does.  

There is no quick fix to our deepest wounds and scars - it is a daily practise that involves our awareness, attention and intention at all times.  

There is no point in completing a mediation or self care Reiki or Tapping or Affirmations or what ever it is that you do if that 10 - 60 minutes is the only part of your day that is aware.... 

If for 660 minutes out or 720 you are running yourself down - not applying your own self care - your actions do not back up your initial intentions..... 




So on the question of how much practise should I put into myself - it should be all day everyday or as much of a reality as that can be for you 

All day everyday???  

Yes - overtime you hear your inner critic running yourself down - stop it and change your thoughts

Every time you feel your stress levels raising - breathe - tap - know your own stress stopper and use it every time you need to do so. 

(Breathing and tapping are such useful tools as they can be done anywhere and multiple, multiple, multiple times a day)

If your stress levels have increased incredibly then incorporate your practise into as many parts of your day as you can .  

How many times do you tell yourself - how many times during the day?

That you are safe?  Safe wherever you are and where ever you go?

That you are enough?  in all of its capacities

That you are perfectly imperfect? and you accept and love all that you do?

That you can start choosing your life?  One step at a time

That the fears you may be experiencing are only thoughts and thoughts can be changed? 

How often do you praise your self? recognise and list your good!!

How often do you stop to realise your progress and how much you already have?

So in answer to practise, practise, practise...... 

the more you do - the more changes you get...the more changes you get..the more responses you get to being the authentic you....

Searching for "Purpose"

An interesting subject -

Do you ever ask - what is the reason that I am here?

What am I meant to be doing with my life?

What does the thought of purpose in your life provoke in you?

Do you think of your career? your family? your attitudes and values? Yourself?

I recently read an article that said actually are purpose is to live and therefore the fact that we are here and living our lives means that we are already fulfilling our purpose.

Another article discussed that ultimately we are all here to share love and joy to ourselves and others - and that this may be by giving a smile to a stranger that unknowingly  lights up their day - warms their heart and makes them feel worthwhile though to people who dedicate their lives to others such as Mother Theresa.

They got me thinking......

I like the combination of both of these -

Yes we are alive and by filling our lives with love and joy.....

- firstly to ourselves so that this can overflow and radiate out to others without thought

- then sharing this and acknowledging the simple acts of kindness and purposely reaching out to others to help them on their way.....

then Yes! just by simply living and be alive is surely living our purpose.

My gratitude Alphabet


This year I have had the chance to re-evaluate my life and really put into practise some of the things that I often talk about - SELF CARE!

In the process of this - I have let things go.... I have also come to realise what is important in my life and also realised how much I already have within this......

I have recently been reading "Pearls of Wisdom for living a richer life" a book compiled by Patricia Crane Ph.D and Rick Nichols.

It was within this that I came across the G-Alphabet....by Michele Hatfield who talks of herself using this method as a fun way to open her mind to being grateful with abundance...


What an amazing idea - It makes it so easy - and there is so much to be grateful for.

I would like to share with you my Gratitude alphabet

A is for the Air that I breathe. I am grateful for how it shows me very simply how abundance works - unlimited supplies.

B is for beauty... I am grateful for having so much beauty arround me.

C is for compassion - I am grateful for having compassion and receiving compassion from others.

D is for dreams. I am grateful for being shown lessons through my dreams.

E is for energy - Energy in Motion ( E-motion) I am grateful for being an Energist.

F is for faith. I am grateful for my inner knowing.

G is for giggles - I am grateful for having so much to giggle and laugh about.

H is for heart.... I am grateful for my heart...it's openess, sensitivity, compassion and passion

I is for my idiosyncrasies - I am grateful for my quirkiness - it's what makes me the perfect me!

J is for Joy - and for being able to share my joy.

K is for knowledge and learning new things daily

L is for LOVE - I am very lovable!

M is for Mother - being so blessed with having the most beautiful mother in so many ways.

N is for Nurturing - I future my inner spirit daily

O is for OUTRAGEOUS - because I can if I want to ! and of course the opportunities that I am presented with so often

P is purpose - I am grateful for the the opportunity of finding my way

Q is for questioning - I am thankful for the have inquisitive mind 

R is for all that I receive - I am truly grateful - such as the time afforded to me by friends

S is the Seasons of the year - and being presented with constant display of nature at its most beautiful all year round

T is for time - I am thankful for how much time I have.

U is US - You and Me....

V is for visualisation - the chance to see my dreams.... and create my future

W is for woooohooo! - I really have so much to celebrate and I am truly thankful.

X is for the xtra-ordinary special people I have in my life - I am so blessed

Y is for YES - I truly can say YES to my dreams!

Z is for zzzz - being able to sleep so peacefully every night.


I have started a page in my journal for each letter of the alphabet and will be adding to this often - 
Sometimes we get so busy in the flurry of life that we truly miss what we have already got....
Maybe...just maybe.... the searching can stop....

So if you can - just take this opportunity to stop and take a breather....
and just notice - notice everything in your life......
its may just amaze you too!

I have just read Cheryl Richardson's book extreme self care....

Wow.... So much to take in... And it all makes sense

From the Heal Your Life work we know that everything needs to come from within....

"Working from the inside out"  my favourite expression as it describes this work so well...

 It's all about working from within yourself...

  • Accepting all that you are, 
  • accepting and approving of all that you do,
  • letting go of the debilitating beliefs that no longer serve you
  • Forgiving yourself and others in order to set yourself free
  • Removing all those burdens, anxieties and torments - feel yourself getting freer

Five minutes of sitting against a tree - bare footed feeling the grass beneath my feet and between my toes ( 5 mins is just about 1/2 of one percent of my day)

A magnesium salt bath for relaxation and the many benefits of magnesium

Drink a full 2 litres of water

Allow myself half an hour to read leisurely

And extra rest to switch off and rejuvenate.

Reiki training - a gift to yourself



Training to use Reiki on yourself is a true gift to yourself.


Reiki is a gentle energy that works by restoring the balance in a persons energy system.  It can help promote the body's own natural ability to heal itself.

Reiki is an intelligent energy that will go to where you need the help the most - that is it will go to the core issues and not necessarily the ones that present themselves as a feedback mechanism to let you know that there is a problem.

It can treat the whole person in its entirety and in doing so creates many beneficial effects including deep relaxation, peace and a sense of well-being.

It can work on all levels; physical, emotional, mental and /or spiritual.

Reiki is believed to be a form of healing that was used widely thousands of years ago.  It was lost and then rediscovered a hundred years ago by Dr Usui who, after spending years of travelling and studying, found the keys to this ancient system.


There are no limitations or boundaries attached to Reiki - It is available to everyone.

Treatments are an amazingly relaxing experience - learning and being attuned to be able to use Reiki on yourself on a daily basis - is a true gift and a practise of self care for yourself

Training comes in four stages over an extended period of time.
                                                          
The first degree of Reiki is for people who wish to learn how to heal themselves and others.

The first degree is about your own self-healing and to give to friends and family – you are not able to offer Reiki treatments as a practise (charge), nor are you able to attain insurance at this level. It really is all about YOU!

The course is an initial, full 2 day course, followed by a 21 day period of self-healing and then an additional half a day to complete the course. This affords the time to really soak in the teachings and practise the techniques; enabling you to leave with a real confidence.

During the course, you will receive 4 attunements which will awaken and attune specific chakras.


The course includes:

  • Understanding what Reiki is
  • The Reiki principles
  • What can Reiki help?
  • The history of Reiki
  • Attunements
  • Techniques of how to use Reiki on yourself

Forgiveness.... Your gift to Yourself

Forgiveness is not about condoning other peoples actions - its about releasing the issues that you have relating to it today... its about releasing yourself and setting yourself free.

The following is from one of Louise L Hay's Books " Experience your Good Now" on this subject

Below is an excerpt from the chapter about Affirmations for Forgiveness:
Forgiveness is a difficult area for so many people. We all need to do forgiveness work. Anyone who has a problem with loving themselves is stuck in this area. 
Forgiveness opens our hearts to self-love. Many of us carry grudges for years and years. We feel self-righteous because of what they did to us. I call this being stuck in the prison of self-righteous resentment. We get to be right. We never get to be happy.
I can almost hear you saying, “But you don’t know what they did to me; it’s unforgivable.” Being unwilling to forgive is a terrible thing to do to yourself. Bitterness is like swallowing a teaspoon of poison every day. It accumulates and harms you. It is impossible to be healthy and free when you keep yourself bound to the past. The incident is long gone and over with. Yes, it’s true that they didn’t behave well. However, it’s over. You might feel that if you forgive them, then you’re saying that what they did you was okay.

One of our biggest spiritual lessons is to understand that everyone is doing the best they can at any given moment. People can only do so much with the understanding, awareness, and knowledge that they have. Invariably, anyone who mistreats someone was mistreated themselves as a child. The greater the violence, the greater their own inner pain, and the more they may lash out. This is not to say that their behavior is acceptable or excusable. However for your own spiritual growth, we must be aware of their pain.
 
The incident is over. Perhaps long over. Let it go. Allow yourself to be free. Come out of prison, and step into the sunshine of life. If the incident is still going on, then ask yourself why you think so little of yourself that you still put up with it. Why do you stay in such a situation? Don’t waste time trying to “get even.” It doesn’t work. What you give out always comes back to you. So drop the past and work on loving yourself in the now. Then you’ll have a wonderful future. That person who is the hardest to forgive is the one who can teach you the greatest lessons. 

When you love yourself enough to rise above the old situation, then understanding and forgiveness will be easy. And you’ll be free.

Here are some example affirmations you can say for forgiveness:
 
• It is now safe for me to release all of my childhood traumas and move into love.

• I know that I cannot take responsibility for other people. We are all under the law of our own consciousness.

• I forgive everyone in my past for all perceived wrongs. I release them with love.

Perfectionists.......!!

Do you seek perfection?

Whats it really all about ?   FEAR!!!!


The fear of not being good enough?  

The fear of being judged or wrong?

The fear of what others may think of you?  Fear of rejection?

But mostly........

The fear of what we actually think of ourselves!

We end up being so scared of failing, so scared of being anything less than perfect that nothing is a pleasure.

Even when something is achieved to perfection... it could have still been a bit better...yes?

Imagine... just for one moment

There was no expectation of you;

what ever you delivered, however you dressed, however you looked, what ever you said, how you sang, your work level, your house, your relationships....

was always deemed to be perfect just because it was part of you.....

Being perfect just because it is you

The release of the burden of meeting those high standards, releasing the load of expectation

and instead...

living.... experiencing... enjoying.... feeling light....fun.... and feeling free......................






Help to achieve is always on hand


So How is your vision working out so far in 2015?

We are now in the second month of the year, how is it all shaping up?  Does it resemble your goals?

Did you think about your goals for this year?

Whats your priority for 2015?


Happy New Year!



I don't usually make New year resolutions.....

New Years resolutions in the past have been my list that I want to beat myself up over..... my judgemental list of what I should or ought to be doing for myself!!


  • I should get fit
  • I should lose weight
  • I should be stronger
  • I should give more
  • I should be more perfect!!!!!!


But do you know what I learnt in 2014 - I have Freedom and I really am perfect just the way that I am!


So this year my thought process was different....

What do I want for myself? What is going to Nourish me?  Fulfil me? and really ignite and invigorate the passion for life within me?

This year is definitely all about me!

and for once I really can not wait!



This year I am going to give myself everything that I have ever wanted in life!

AND I AM GOING TO HAVE SO MUCH FUN!

How many of us stop ourselves from living the lives that we want because we are stuck with our own internal critic - chit chat, chit chat all the time....saying..      You can't do that!  You should do that better! You need to work harder! If only you could please one more person! You're not good enough to do that!

Sound familiar.....?  stuck with our limitations!

Then why not re evaluate - 

What is important to you for this year - what do you want for you - not for anyone else - not to please anyone other than yourself..... what is that one thing that is going to overfill your heart with joy?

What would be that one thing on the top of your list?


What ever your priority is for you..... enjoy!
