Reflections

REFLECTIONS.......

  I have been thinking about what to write next and had some suggestions about humans being made from stardust and how special that feels or being a goddess...... Hmmmm :-)

This morning whilst walking the dogs by the canal I noticed the magnificent reflections in the water and this led me to think about all the different types of reflections that there are.....

Reflections of light and water......
Reflections of our inner selves our hearts and souls
Reflections of our minds
Reflections of  ambitions

I could go on.......

But to start with.... Reflections of simply a snapshot in time......

To set the scene;
This morning, the air was fresh and everything from the air to the trees and to the water was extremely still.

The grass was still damp beneath my feet and certain blades of grass glistening against the morning sun.

As far as the eye could see was a tree lined canal....hollies, red currants, elderflowers, Rowens.... Bright oranges and reds with deep green colouring the edges of this wide canal. The depth of the colours grabbing my attention.

Everything simply glimmering from the sun behind us as it danced across the water and bounced off grass and bushes.

Far in the distance was a lone fisherman looking like he too was enjoying the early morning peace and quiet. He was almost silhouetted in the distance and remember thinking what a fantastic photo that would make.

Every five hundred yards there are boards for the fishermen to set up their chairs and rigs, so I spent a few moments standing on one of these and taking in every essence that this unique morning was providing;

The stillness of the trees and how each and everyone of these were reflected in the water.

How still the water appeared except for the occasional ripple when a fish surfaced for a fraction of a moment.  The slow motion of a drip of dew falling from a leaf and rippling in the water......

The sound of a bird singing in the early light and this song echoing from tree to tree...... Reflecting each other in tune.

This peacefulness and stillness resonating throughout my whole body, feeling so calm and at one. Mind and body synchronised as nature intended us to be.

I thought about this for a while and realised how many different aspects of reflections there are.....

I continued to walk down the side of the canal, being aware of the different sounds, the changing colours as I passed each bit..the beauty in the richness and depth of colour in the berries, the continued freshness against my skin.....

This being just a reflection of a moment in time......
