Whats your priority for 2015?

Happy New Year!

I don't usually make New year resolutions.....

New Years resolutions in the past have been my list that I want to beat myself up over..... my judgemental list of what I should or ought to be doing for myself!!

  • I should get fit
  • I should lose weight
  • I should be stronger
  • I should give more
  • I should be more perfect!!!!!!

But do you know what I learnt in 2014 - I have Freedom and I really am perfect just the way that I am!

So this year my thought process was different....

What do I want for myself? What is going to Nourish me?  Fulfil me? and really ignite and invigorate the passion for life within me?

This year is definitely all about me!

and for once I really can not wait!

This year I am going to give myself everything that I have ever wanted in life!

AND I AM GOING TO HAVE SO MUCH FUN!

How many of us stop ourselves from living the lives that we want because we are stuck with our own internal critic - chit chat, chit chat all the time....saying..      You can't do that!  You should do that better! You need to work harder! If only you could please one more person! You're not good enough to do that!

Sound familiar.....?  stuck with our limitations!

Then why not re evaluate -

What is important to you for this year - what do you want for you - not for anyone else - not to please anyone other than yourself..... what is that one thing that is going to overfill your heart with joy?

What would be that one thing on the top of your list?

What ever your priority is for you..... enjoy!

Happy New Year!

Believing in yourself.... So easy to say! Step one

Self belief is one of those attributes that we would all love a little more of.....

So easy to say......but not so easy to achieve....

Do your beliefs about yourself sometimes hold you back from what you want to do?

It is reported that we have approx 90,000 thoughts a day of which 75,000 of them we had yesterday..and the day before and the day before that too...

We are brought up on negativity and self criticism.... So what percentage of those thoughts do you think would be positive or negative?

Quite a lot are negative, right?

So, if there are loads more negative......  How do you think that is going to leave you feeling about yourself?

Not smart enough, not sociable enough, not slim enough, not pretty enough, ........ Not enough

The good thing is.....these are just thoughts.....and thoughts can be changed!

Step one ........  Become aware of your own thoughts ......

You can not do anything if you are not aware of it...

Become aware of yourself and your own thoughts over the next week

Write down or journal some of the thoughts that you become aware of.......

How do they make you feel?  Do you know where they originate from?

Discover step 2 next week.

We run both workshops and 1-1 coaching in Heal your life techniques that will give you the tools to unleash your full potential.

Meditation for stress relief

Stress, as I am sure you have seen reported repeatedly, can be a contributor to many illnesses including autoimmune diseases, depressions, chronic fatigue, heart disease, insomnia and anxieties to name a few.
During stress our bodies go into a protection mode which causes our bodies to pump out adrenaline and cortisol, increase our heart rates, blood sugars and reduce insulin production and suppression of our immune system.
Meditation releases stress and can not only help to reverses the physical effects, as above, but with regular use can help to reduce the build up of previous stress and start to promote an inner calmness.

  •  Meditate for Better Health – calming and centring
Meditate to Sharpen your mind – living mindfully
Meditate to be more aware of your body and mind – healing body and mind
Meditate to balance your emotions -love and compassion
Meditate to heal psychological problems – problem solving
Meditate to contemplate the mysteries of life – manifesting our dreams

Sitting quietly and enabling you to look within has been reported to trigger the brain to release neurotransmitters including dopamine, serotonin and endorphins – the feel good natural chemicals.
Dopamine  governs our pleasure, focus and satisfaction levels whilst serotonin has a calming effect and helps to  reduce the effects of feeling stressed.

Starting with just 5 minutes a day, can make profound differences to your own stress and anxiety levels.
There are groups that you can join in your local community, or audio CDs that guide you through a deep relaxation. Alternatively you can find further meditations on “You Tube”.

Changes

Good afternoon......

I just wanted to share with you today a brief experience that has shown me just how much my thought process has changed.

I have been doing a lot of work, studies and putting into self practise meditations..... Awareness of thought patterns, beliefs and consciously changing these...for me!

Taking back my own power and setting myself free to make my own choices.......

During this process, I have been making myself aware of all self criticism....all critical comments really and as soon as I hear myself my plan has been to change this thought to a positive affirmation.

The first few days, I could hear myself whining at myself, from wake up...groan and moan to looking in the mirror and picking out every fault!

Just a short period has passed and my awareness of my own thoughts has heightened.... Being able to change the negative self requests into positive ones....

My mother used to tell me as a child "Be careful what you wish for". I had no idea what this really meant.

During one of my self doubting moments, I stopped myself and thought about what I would really like ..right here..right now..  In this particular case it was a couple more people for a workshop..

My thought process changed from "I will never get enough people" to " I have the perfect size and group for this workshop".  When I got home I checked my emails and there was the bookings that I wanted!!!!!

Just with a simple change of thoughts......

Amazing!

Personal growth or personal development?

What do those words mean to you?

When you see personal development written somewhere... What does that make you think?

Initially these words  conjured up a multitude of thoughts:

  • progression within career
  • dissolving limiting beliefs
  • Finding your purpose
  • Direction
  • Goals and action
  • Making the first step
  • CHANGE

For me..that is it....CHANGE...
Change is the key word for anyone undergoing transformation treatments / coaching

Whether this change is removing the stress and chaos to make sense and to enable what was once a "normal" task  - like functioning in life - enjoying the moment - releasing stress and depressions

Or

Removing the blocks that are stopping you gaining your own personal success....

The type of success that makes your heart sing...that oozes from every pore...that you can not hide as the joy it brings is effervescent .

So whether you are making the final touches to your canvas picture or removing old patterns and colours.....  Another words, it does not matter where you are on your journey....

Personal growth and development....starts with you, is all about you and ends with you and your willingness to make the changes necessary in your life

Be vibrant this Monday ........

Embrace this week with optimism and action.....
Walk with a spring in your step, a smile on your face and a sparkle in your eye :-)

Why not start by reviewing your values and how the things that you are going to achieve fit in with these.

Set yourself a clear purpose this week and renew this each day.....

This may be having more light in your daily life.... Less serious - being able to smile a little more.
Giving yourself some "me time" .
and everything else
through to achieving one of your major life changing goals!

But whatever your progressive step is this week........
Let it be in line with you values and
Take action

Take action and be vibrant
